In Germany I loved a crumble that was made from strawberry jam. I played around till I came up with this recipe. It tastes just as good as the crumble I remembered eating in Germany and an add plus is this is only 182 calories!
Ingredients:
¾ c all Purpose Flour
¾ c quick- cooking oats
1/3 c packed brown sugar
1/3 c melted butter or margarine
4 oz fat free cream cheese
¼ c + 1 T powdered sugar
½ c strawberry jam
½ c milk chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350
1. In Medium size bowl combine flour, oats, brown sugar. Stir till mixed. Stir in Butter till all the ingredients are wet. Set aside 2/3 cup. To makes the crust press remaining mixture onto bottom of a 9” square pan that was coated with cooking spray. Set aside.
2. In a small bowl beat ¼ c of powdered sugar and cream cheese till smooth. Spread cream cheese mixture evenly on top of oatmeal crust. Next spread jams evenly over cream cheese mixture. Sprinkle with reserved oat mixture and chocolate chips.
3. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Cool on wire rack. Sprinkle with remaining powdered sugar. Cut into squares. Refrigerate left over’s.

Yummy! Usually I just buy a toy and stick it on top of the cake for my kids birthdays. Ta da! A birthday cake with their favorite character. This year my son wanted an Angry Bird cake. I just could not shell out the bucks for a small cheap toy to stick on top of the cake. I decided to try and make the cake myself. If your a non decorator this is any easy cake to make.
You'll need:
1 cake mix (make sure you have eggs and oil since most cake mixes call for these)
1 chocolate frosting can
1 vanilla frosting can
2 round pans
1 red cake mate decorating frosting and star tip
2 Oreo cookies
Instructions:
Make the cake as directed and pour into two greased and floured round pans. Bake for 30 minutes until a knife poked in the middle comes out clean.
Let the cakes cool in the pan for 10 minutes so the cakes won't stick when you turn them over.
Turn cakes over onto a wire rack to cool.
When the cake is cool place the one cake top side down on your cake plate. Use the chocolate frosting to frost the top of the cake.
Place your other layer bottom side down on top of the first cake. (If both flat ends face each other your cake won't slide and will be less lopsided.
Use the chocolate frosting to frost the sides of the cake.
Take two Oreo's and separate the two pieces so the cream is on one side. Use frosting an place on the cake.
Use the vanilla frosting and star tip to make a half circle shape at the bottom of the cake. Fill the circle in using the star tip.

These yummy doughnut melt in your mouth!
I love my mini doughnut maker and these doughnuts are so easy to make and taste like the chocolate version of krispy kreme doughnuts! First, Make your favorite chocolate cake mix recipe (I used a box cake mix). Make your doughnuts as usual either in a maker or in the oven. As soon as your doughnuts are done and still hot put them in the following glaze:
1lb powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup of boiling water
whisk till powdered sugar is blended.
I usually just dump the whole batch in the bowl and use a fork to flip and coat both sides. Then, let them rest on a cookie rack till the glaze hardens!
Enjoy!
**I also, don't like to make a whole batch at once because I will eat them all! So, when I have as much doughnuts as my family will eat. I put the left over cake mix in a Ziploc bag and freeze for the next time we want doughnuts. Simple, thaw the bag for a few minutes in the microwave if your in a hurry or on the counter for about twenty minutes and make another batch of doughnut. They work just the same as the first day you made your cake mix.
I love my new cake pops maker! My favorite thing to make is quick breads. These banana pops are perfect for a quick treat! They only bake for 5 minutes in the cake pop maker instead of 45 minutes in your oven. You can make them a lot healthier by taking your favorite banana recipe and following these tips!
-Reduce the sugar in half (because banana’s are naturally sweet, especial when they are brown and over ripe)
-Only use 3 T of oil (instead of the other fat called for in your recipe. You won’t miss the fat!)
-For the eggs use 1 egg and two egg whites.
To top the banana bites I melted ¼ cup of chocolate chips in the microwave and frosted the top of some of the banana bites.
Enjoy a fun bite sized treat!
